Does anybody else think the script for "Alvin and the Chipmunks, Chip-Wrecked" is really bad? I have recently seen "Alvin and the Chipmunks, Chip-Wrecked" with my son and I am so disappointed in the script! I understand it is a movie for children, but there is a difference between "children-level" and "low quality." The music, the cinematography, director, acting, etc are all great. But the script... Awful, especially that it was written by two people!

My Hus boat is too long to fit in our garage. We are building another one now, but how can I cover the? opening of the garage and the boat, since I can't lower door. 05 R6, loss of power and keeps low deep sound into higher RPMs.? I've got an 05 R6, I went to the lake yesterday and parked kinda in the woods. On the ride home my bike felt like it had a loss of power and kept a low deep noise instead of getting the higher pitched reving sounds of higher RPMs. I've stalled it twice today and yesterday, not once ever before. It also normally gets a boost of power at 5k RPMs but now it doesn't, just continues up slowly with less power. Sometimes it would feel/sound normal for a split second but then go back. Its an 05 R6 with a 06+ short can with the baffles removed. It almost feels/sounds like a chipmunk crawled up my exhaust and is stuck in a head pipe. Ha, I looked in but don't see anything. My system volume control icon doesn't regulate the sound on my desktop speakers? I have a dell dimension 8200 computer My o/s is 2000 pro The device manager says my soundcard is a intel 82801ba/bam ac' 97 audio controller - 2445 When I try to mute or higher or lower the volume on my desktop speakers through the volume icon on my taskbar, it doesn't do anything. The only thing that works is the wave control. When I try to play anything through the desktop speakers such as music or msn videos it sounds like the audio is in super speed. It sounds like the chipmunks. I reinstalled the sound drivers and tried to update the driver with the lastest ac 97 version 4 but the computer started up a blue screen. I had to revert to the default driver. Any help would be appreiated!

How to convert video to audio? Okay, well here's the situation: I took videos of my friends and I on my Canon digital camera, and I want to edit the audio and video. All I really want to do is make our voices like chipmunks or really low. You know how people do that? my computer's sound is gay. please help? hello well whenever i play music on my computer speakers the voices sound like chipmunks. and like the instrumentals are low and staticy. oh and when i turned my computer on it said to enter some volume hardware in the D drive and MOVIESB. any suggestions on how to fix this? btw i know its not the speakers fault cause of i tried 3 different ones :\

Normal sound on computer and mic info? Ok, I was being really dumb and started fiddling with my computer's volumes...Now everything is sounding high pitched and when my friends talk to me over the computer, they sound like speedy chipmunks..I really need to know what to put my bars at... Also, I bought a new mic for my computer and it doesn't work right..I plugged it in the right spot but when I talk into it my friend's say that I sound like a monster (really low) I know I need to adjust my bass and treble, but for some reason it's grayed out and I can't adjust the bars... Thanks for any help! I'm not sure how to restore my computer and when I go into the sound options and such, there's no default button.. I've played around with the sound volumes..that's what got me into this mess in the first place...lol

Chipmunk with spots............? I was at my grandparents house when I saw a very odd looking small rodent in their back yard underneath the bird feeder. It looked like a chipmunk but it had both stripes and spots. My sister and I were like wtf?! We both have seen plenty of chipmunks, but never one like this, which makes me think it was NOT a chipmunk. I did some research, but found nothing. My Grandpa said it was a gopher, but I looked up gopher pictures and I don't think it was that either. Like I said, it looked like a chipmunk, but it was a little bit longer, it's ears were definitely smaller, and its tail wasn't as fluffy. Also, it moved different, kinda low to the ground and sneaky like. Its markings were vertical on its back and went dots then a stripe, with three of each, maybe four. I'm really bothered by what this thing was so if anyone knows I would much appreciate it.

Youcam on laptop help? Well, i have a hp laptop and the youcam video DOES work but when i play it back to listen, it skips. And then sometimes the voice turns into chipmunks and sometimes it goes in kind of a low slow-mo voice. any help on fixing it?? please help!!! My cheeks are super swolen from getting my wisdom teeth out, how can i make the swelling go down?!? i had to have surgery to get my two lower wisdom teeth out because they were growing in crooked. I had this done on Monday, July 21st...it is now Thursday and my cheeks are still swollen! Grinch then grabbed Porky’s legs, causing him to fall back. Grinch then pinned Porky for the win. Grinch & Frosty quickly ran to the back as both people looked at them intensely. We go to the next match as Billy faced The Banker. It was a great match. Banker had Bill yin the corner and was beating him badly. In a move of desperation, he low blowed Banker, causing him to get DQ’d. He then grabbed the tag rope and choked him with it. After that, he hit an Unprettier. He was about to leave when he decided to come back. He held Banker’s head and tried to pull the mask off. But George foreman ran him away as security came in to check on him. The next match had Odie, Fat Albert, & skittles mini take on Alvin & the chipmunks. It was an awesome match. Courage’s followers were doing amazing. Skittle Mini & Fat Albert were taking care of Theodore & Simon outside the ring while Odie was about to hit a Hond Leg drop on Alvin. But wendy came from under the ring and pushed him off. She gave Alvin his Canadian belt as the ref was on the outside ending the fight between the four others. Odie got up and met a cotheline from Alvin with the belt in hand. Jong & Tony were dominating then due to their dirty ways. Jong had the Jong of pain locked in on snoopy when Tony all of a sudden tagged in and pulled snoopy off. He then hit a Pedigree. Jong turned him around and argued. After a heated debate, Tony slapped Jong. As this was going on, snoopy was crawling over to Courage, who he tagged in. Courage went over to Jong & Tony and gave them a double chokeslam. He got the pin on Tony for the win. As they were celebrating, Garfield suddenly came running in with rod still on his tail. Courage blocked him and rod caught up. Courage gave him a Choke Bone, Snoopy hit a Flying Forearm, and Rod locked in the sharp Shooter. Garfield was tapping wildly and rod let go. My cat makes Very awkward noises.... ? This is very hard to explain. This is some back story ( it might help ). My cat is... about a year and a half old, he was a stray, we just got him about 3 or 4 months ago. We have him neutered and hes a pretty playful cat. My mom thought it would be fun to get a lazer pointer and play with the cat with. I was using the lazer pointer and my cat noticed it instantly. and then he made this noise, try and bear with me. it actually sounded like a Chipmunk... it was like he changed the pitch of his voice so fast (not the speed of a chipmunks voice but slightly slower). Its not High pitched its actually quite a 'low tone' I noticed the cat made these noises when he didn't understand something. for example, one time I was under the sheets on my bed and i was using my feet to make bumps on the bed that my cat would chase, Im pretty sure he was kinda freaked out and he made that noise again. If you know anything about this, that would be great. thanks =) (P.S I will try to record this noise sometime soon.)

how can i entertain my chipmunk he looks bored? well ive had my chipmunk for 3 years now and he is a great little guy but this year after hybernation he seems bored. is there anything i can do that is low to no cost to amp up his ccage? i do let him run around my room for a while but even that seems to bore him. i really would like to get him a mate but i dont know if i could keep both of them. please help i love him to death my chipmunk ahrlan is a siberian chipmunk that i purchased in a pet store while living in spain. i got him when he was about 3 months old. he is a great little pet almost like a tiny cat. and since he has been well handle is very social and friendly and loves to be scratched behind the ears :3

Problem with my neighbors nuisance cat? Hello. I am having major problmes with another apartment neighbors animals. They are absolute white trash. The mother is an ex-meth user, alcoholic, and is on Welfare and SSI. The father and children are all on free health benefits, and welfare. Numerous times we have given these people cat food, and litter because "They can't afford it", meanwhile they are eating 16 ounce steaks and 4 inch tuna fillets. They are complete scum, that deserves to be on the streets. Anywho, their cats are a total problem. Both ( well thats only the ones that go outside) need vaccinations. They have had many run-ins with raccoons and have luckily not contracted rabies. I have a cat and 3 ferrets and the other neighbors have a dog. There are chidren in this building along with my mother, my boyfriend, and I. Another thing. Our building has a common area for hallways leading to our laundry rooms. Demon the black cat has been spraying the neighbor and I's upstairs hallway. It is starting to leak into my dining room, and I don't need my cat to start spraying becaus he smells this cat. ( Mind you my cat is neutered and kept indoors at ALL TIMES.) I have had to throw water at the cat to keep him from coming into my apartment so I can go do laundry. I am fed up with the black one. He brings in dead birds, chipmunks, squirrels, rabbits, ect. into the apartment, and into its "owners" apartment. They have told me that a chipmunk that died in their apartment due to the cat was lost for a week before they found it decomposing under the fridge. Other neighbors have threatened to shoot it, because it's killing off birds in their yards, and they have told these people to keep the cat inside. The other isn't spayed and keeps mating with the black one and any other cat it finds. She is on her 6th litter of kittnes in 2 years. They will not listen to us about taking it to a low cost clinic to get it neutered and vetted for about $20 a cat. The black one will stalk my ferrets when they are on their harnesses while my boyfriend and I are standing there. Recently I had to throw a hand full of mulch at the cat to get him away from our ferrets. I'm not making my animals suffer and not be able to get fresh air because they can't keep their f*n cat inside. I called animal control and they said they can't do anything. BUT they did tell me if we can catch the cat off the neighbor that owns it's property, we can bring it to any shelter in our area becuase it's techincally a stray when it wanders off their property. It does not have a collar ( neither of them do) and personally I feel they would be best away from the crack head lunatics. My question is would the cat in our hallway or on the common ground shared by us count as "public" property. These cats have to go and I am going to net them. So anyone that knows what would count as off the owners property feel free to answer. I need to know do AC mean in our hall, on our porch, in the common yard where the damn feline leaves dead animals?

But that’s not as important as this. A few weeks ago, my friend Courage was kidnapped by a mysterious man. I am so pissed! There’s no way I’m going to take this! Mysterious person, I don’t know who you are and I frankly don’t care. Because I’m going to kick you’re a**. I want to see you in the ring tonight.” It was the first match after that as Fantasy WWE Tag Champs Theodore & Simon along with Alvin faced Grinch, Santa, Burger King, & Daxter. It was a great match. Surprisingly, the Chipmunks were winning. Alvin had just hit a 450 Splash and was about to win when Ernie & Bert came out and hit them. Ernie took out his rubber ducky and hit Alvin with it multiple times. They made each chipmunk bleed before leaving. The next match had Hill Clinton, & Condi Rice facing off. It was a great match. Condi was dominating the whole match and was about to hit a Tower of Leeza when Hippolyta came from the crowd and pushed her off. She came in the ring and began to beat on Condi. The ref DQ’d Condi, but Hippolyta didn’t care. Hippolyta was about to hit an Amazonian Drop, but Hill got a chair and hit both of them. She went ballistic on them. Daffy finally came out and yelled, “That’s it! I’m tired of this! So, all of you will contend for something. It will be the right to face Kim Possible at On Your Computer! Tha fans will vote for each of you.” He left as security came out and grabbed each diva. It was main event time (possibly) as George Foreman fought CUD Champ & Canadian Champ Odie in a non-title match. George was about to win when Odie low blowed him. He got a chair and was about to hit him when Ray Lewis came out, with Ingrid Newkirk right on his tail. He was about to hit him, but Ingrid ran in front of him and stopped him. She tried to apologize to Odie, but Pdoe responded with a chair shot. Ray Leis threatened to hurt her again, but he ran quickly. Ray tended to Ingrid. When she got up, she yelled, “I may love and protect animals, but there’s no way you are an animal. You are a demon!” She left with Ray in a rage. Fat Albert came out after that. “Okay mysterious man. I’m here. Now come down and fight like the man I presume you are.” The light went out. When they turned back on, Albert was knocked out with his shirt shred up, which read, “Look at the screen.” On the screen was a knocked out Courage with a cloth around his mouth. A hooded man with a cloth over his mouth said, “This proves I have Courage. Now, I might give Courage back. But you must please my wishes. And that means anything. Next week, that will happen. But before that happens, let me ask, where’s Fat Albert?” When everyone looked back in the ring, fat Albert was gone. We end the show as the screen disconnects and the staff is freaking out. And Calvin & Hobbes will be facing Pooh & Piglet for the Beatdown Tag Titles.” Rod continued by saying, “And on cud’s side, Hillary Clinton will be facing Kim Possible for the Women’s Championship. And for the On Your Computer! main event, Odie will be defending his CUD Championship against Fat Albert!” The first match was next as Garfield faced Tarzan. It was a great opner. Tarzan was about to win, but Casper came out and distracted him. Posh came from behind with a purse and she hit Tarzan with it as the ref was distracted. Garfield got up and hit a Lasagna Rollup to capitalize for the victory. It was revealed there was a brick in the purse. But after the match, Jane came out with a chair and chased them out to prevent further damage. The Women’s Championship Match was next. Hill Clinton was dominating the whole match. She had just hit the Hillacanrana and looked like she was about to win when a masked man came from behind with a lead pipe. He hit her over and over again with it. While this was going on, Kim snuck away, only to be met by Condi & Hippolyta half way up the ramp. The man revealed himself to be Barrack Obama as security held back the other divas. IN Champ Han Solo put his championship on the line against Taco Bell Chihuahua with Chester being the special enforcer. Han tried his best, but Chester & Taco found ways to get around the ref. Despite this, Han never gave up. Chester was talking to ref as Taco low blowed Han. But from under the ring came Wicket W. Warrick, who hit Taco with his Cruiserweight belt and hit the Wicketgree on him. He dragged Han onto Taco as the ref turned around. The ref counted to 3 to give Han the win. Chester tried to attack Han, but Wicket pulled him out of the ring before anything happened. The unlikely team of Banker &Billy faced Fantasy WWE Champ Tony the Tiger & Jabba the Hutt. Billy and Banker looked like they were actually going to win. Banker was about to hit The Safe on a down and out Jabba, but Billy pushed him off. He punched him over and over again as Tony & Jabba snuck away. Billy put him in a camel clutch ot weaken him more. He finally decided to take his mask off. Behind the mask, it turned out the Banker was actually Chuck Norris. Billy held the mask over Chuck as we go backstage. Backstage, Fat Albert is laying down, almost dead. Security and police officers afre looking at the scene. Rod comes and they give him a bat. On it is carved the letters K.J. He wonders what’s going on as we go back to the ring. The Beatdown Tag Championship Match was next. Pooh & Piglet were dominating the whole match, due to dirty tactics. They were about to win when, from the crowd, came 2 masked men. They distracted the champs, allowing Calvin & Hobbes to come back. Hobbes hit an Imaginary Slam on Pooh to get the win and to become the new Beatdown tag champs. The masked men got picnic baskets and slammed them over the ex-champs’ heads. They took off the masks to reveal them to be Yogi Bear & Boo-Boo. “You didn’t actually think we were done, did you?” They left as Pooh & piglet tried to get the picnic baskets off their heads. The CUD 6 team elimination match for the CUD tag titles was next. Rudolph & Santa, Daxter & Ash, and Burger King & big Mac were all eliminated, in that order. It was down to Theodore & Simon, Grinch & Frosty, & FWWE’s Stewie & Brian Griffin.It looked like The Chipmunks were going to win, as Theodre and Simon had both Grinch and Frosty KO’d. But Stewie came from behind and hit a Stewie Kick on Both Theodore & Alvin. Stewie pinned Simon as Brian pinned Grinch to get the win and the CUD tag championships. Before we went to the Beatdown main event, we go backstage, as Kim jong is in Ro Flanders’ office. Rod said, “Kim, I am disappointed in you. I thought you were above THIS. Has anyone ever heard a rap song that samples Elton John's Rocket Man? The song is the background beat/music and it's sped up chipmunk-style. I think possibly Jay Z is featured. I've looked high and low and cannot find the song!

Is this a good vocal range? I've got a low voice and it's difficult to compare with anybody, so I was wondering if I have a good range or not. I can go as high as middle C with a normal voice and as high a D5 singing like a chipmunk but no higher. I can also go as low as B1 with a normal voice, and I can produce a note at C1 that doesn't sound that great, but is on pitch none-the-less. That's where my piano stops, so I don't know past that. Anyway, is this a good range? In response to the first answer: I could go a couple notes lower, but it sounds like crap anyway. My voice doesn't crack or anything, it's just not the same as the rest of my range.

Is this Normal? [a question concerning wisdom teeth]? I got all four of my wisdom teeth pulled five days ago and i'm still in extreme pain. None of my prescriptions seem to be working [they have me on hydrocodone and heavy duty ibprofen] and the swelling isn't going down. I followed all post op procedures to the letter, and im still rinsing five times a day with salt water. The pain is centered mostly around my two lower wounds, but it seems to spread throughout my whole lower jaw line. My cheeks still have the whole "chipmunk" look to them, and the pain is keeping me up and keeping me from eating much. Im running extremely low on sleep and patience and i don't really know what to do, i have a follow up appointment on this upcoming Monday, but the pain is getting really bad and I need to get some sleep and focus because i have some major tests coming up in school. Any help?

Plz Answer! Mac Feature?? EMERGENCY!? I've looked everywhere, but still have found nothing. You know how on Youtube people witha Mac change the pitch of the sound in their video so wher etheir voice is really low in pitch or high sometimes sounding like a chipmunk as I have heard? Well, I have a Windows Dell computer, so I don't have that feature. I've looked everywhere to find a program that can do this, but it's only for audio files, not to change the pitch of the sound in VIDEO CLIPS. Does anybody know of a program that will let you import a VIDEO FILE such as .mpeg and allow you to adjust the pitchof the sound in the video for free, or for at least a trial version? THanks! Do you like my story? Its called nightmare. Prologue I was standing in the woods behind my house. Alone. At least I thought I was alone. Then, all of a sudden, I heard something or someone rustling in the bushes behind the large oak tree. I tried to turn around and look, but for some odd reason I couldn’t move. “It was probably just a bird or chipmunk or something,” I thought to myself. That’s when I heard it coming up behind me. This animal or whatever it was was definitely not small. It was big, maybe even bigger than me. I tried to turn again, but I was still frozen in place. “What is this creature? Is it a bear? Another human being? And why can’t I move?” I caught myself asking these questions in my head as I panicked. It was getting closer now. I could hear it breathing low and steadily. I was just about to try to run when the creature clamped its cold hands around my neck. I could feel its sharp nails digging into my skin. I tried to scream out of both pure terror and pain, but no sound came out. I closed my eyes for a few seconds to think about what I could do. When I opened them I couldn’t see anything. What was wrong with me? Why couldn’t I see or scream? The creature’s hand was choking me now. I tried to get the hand off my neck. I could move again! But I wasn’t able to remove the hand. It was too strong and I was getting weaker and weaker… I couldn’t breathe… I was slowly …slowly…slowly slipping into a state of unconsciousness. The last thing I remember was the creature’s hot breath against my skin as its mouth leaned closer into my neck. Chapter 1 When I woke up I was in my bed and drenched in sweat. Could it have only been a dream? I immediately got up to look in the mirror. I searched my neck for bruises, bites, or nail marks. There was nothing. My neck didn’t even hurt. It was just a little stiff from sleeping on it. It really had been just a dream. But it had seemed so real. I rubbed my neck again and sighed. Then I walked back to my bed and looked at the clock on my night table. It was 12:57 AM. I climbed into my bed. I figured I could probably catch a couple of hours of sleep before morning. I was wrong. It was a long night. I spent the entire time tossing and turning in my bed. I couldn’t stop thinking about my dream. It had been so weird. I’m the kind of person who likes to analyze their dreams. I like to figure out what my dreams mean. Usually, I’m pretty good at figuring my dreams out, but this one had me completely confused. I think I must have gone over the whole dream, but there were still some things I couldn’t understand. First of all, why was I in the woods? Why was I alone? And most importantly, what was that creature? The hands had definitely been a human’s, but the nails had been sharper than any person’s could ever be. It had also been strong. Even the strongest person in the world couldn’t have removed those hands from my neck. I kept thinking about the creature for a long time. Finally, at about a quarter after three, I gave up. I just had jaw surgery!?!? I had jaw surgery(lower jaw) and i look like a chipmunk. i had it on thursday morning, and woke up a lot last night feeling like there was mucus in my throat just dripping and it made me feel like i was drowning/choking. it has gone away some, but how can i prevent that tonight? thanks.

Isnt this a scary way to think about Anorexia? Really? You want to be anorexic? My sister was anorexic for about 2/3 of her life, so I'll tell you what she did. It started when she was 13. Due to some horrid events out of her control, she somehow got psychologically twisted into believing that the only thing in her life she *could* control was her weight. And the best way to do that was by controlling the amount of food she ate. She began to cut way back on the amount of food she ate. At a time when her age, height and activity level dictated her eating between 1800 and 2000 calories a day, she was probably eating more like 1000/day. As she started to drop weight, she got excited because she realized her new-found weight loss method was really working fast! Never mind the fact that she was losing the ability to think properly. Have you ever gone a day without eating? 1/2 a day? You start to shake, get snappy, lose focus on little things. Keep that up for a day or two and your body begins to understand something critical: it's not getting any nourishment and probably won't be any time soon so it better do something fast to preserve itself. "Hmm..." it thinks. "If she won't feed me, I will!" So it starts to consume fat, then muscle, then eventually, if you let it go long enough, it starts to consume your organs. All the while, you're not feeding your brain so you have no ability to think for yourself. You lose the ability to reason...you can't see that you're actually allowing your body to consume itself. You can't even think to try to reverse the process you've already begun. Eventually, someone has to do the reasoning for you. Wow! talk about control! But hey! you'll be skinny, oh yes! Back to my sister. When people start noticing how skinny you're getting, pressure is brought to bear on you to gain some weight. Nobody is ever happy with the weight you are. You're either too heavy or too skinny. So you learn tricks to fool people. Push food around on your plate...make them think you're eating. But when you are forced to actually eat something, then you make a bee-line for the bathroom to vomit. Ahhhhh!! now THERE is a great solution to your problems! You can have your cake AND throw it up too! If you decide to go that route, you'll feel so in control of yourself! "Hey look what I can do! I can eat but not gain a pound!" Just be aware of the consequences (and these aren't "potential," these are guaranteed consequences): 1) the hydrochloric acid, the acid that lines your stomach used in digestion, the acid that gives you that burning feeling in your esophagus when you vomit, will eat away the enamel of your teeth with repeated exposure. Eventually, you'll start to get tooth decay. Mmmmm now there's a pleasant side-effect! Ever smell the breath of someone with tooth decay? But hey! you'll be looking hot in those size 1 jeans! Not really...anorexics are never happy or satisfied with their body image. 2) Electrolytic imbalance - your body is a marvel. It's like a well-oiled machine when you take care of it. It knows exactly how much you need of certain nutrients to keep it cooled, warmed, functioning properly, etc. When you starve yourself and/or purge (the soft word for vomiting), you throw your body's chemistry off. Sugars, salts, potassium, other minerals and vitamins...all those things a body needs for proper functioning get out of whack. The only way to bring them back into alignment is a stint in the hospital whereby they force-feed you those nutrients through a needle stuck in your arm and a feeding tube stuck down your nose, if you refuse to eat. That's if you're lucky and it's caught in time and you haven't yet suffered heart failure or slipped into a persistent vegetative state a la Terri Schiavo. Remember her? 15 years in a coma before her husband and parents battled it out in court for the right to let her die or let her live. In the end, her husband won the right to pull the plug. I'm guessing he thought that was a small price to pay because she was so thoughtful in life that she starved herself to give him a skinny wife. 3) A third consequence binging/purging cycle is your face changes shape and your skin becomes nasty. Your jaws, right where they hinge below your ears, start to enlarge. I'm not sure what causes that (I think it may be a glandular thing), but the overall effect is you start to look a bit like a chipmunk. Your face gets round, an ironic twist for someone who wants to look super skinny. Your skin also goes bad. It gets dry, flaky, and you have breakouts galore. These aren't necessarily acne; sometimes they're just sores. But that's what happens when your body isn't getting what it needs to survive. It starts the early stages of decomposition. 4) One more consequence of anorexia is lanugo. This is a fine, downy like hair that starts to grow over your whole body, including your face. It's usually very pale, but at roughly 1/8" to 1/4", it's quite visible especially because there is so much of it. This happens because of your body struggles to survive and keep you warm as you strip it of its protective fat and muscle layers. All of these things happened to my sister. It's guaranteed to happen to anyone who goes down this road. But hey, looking like a hairy chipmunk with bad skin and teeth is a small price to pay for fitting into that dress or those pants. Just ask my sister...oh wait, you can't. She's dead.) Rewind a little. By the time my sister was about 26, she had spent half her life starving herself. She was down to an apple, a piece of bread, and a couple leaves of lettuce a day. That's about 200 calories. And she was running 7 miles a day. How in God's name her legs were able to carry her is beyond me. She was also doing a bazillion crunches and push-ups a day. It was only a matter of time before her 84 lb. body gave out. She was in and out of the hospital for years because her internal organs were suffering severely as a result of her neglect and mistreatment. She had numerous abdominal surgeries which resulted in rather lovely scars that criss-crossed her tummy. She was always in severe pain from the strictures caused by the repeated cutting and closing of her abdomen. (Strictures are spaghetti-like scars that grow inward and intertwine with your organs...especially your intestines. When these grow, more surgery is required to remove them. A rather viscious cycle.) Well, to make a long story short, her heart finally gave out on her. She died alone. But hey! she was wicked skinny when we buried her! I'm so glad she chose to lose all that weight because it made her coffin much lighter. Honey, I spent a lot of time writing this not to be flippant with you. I did it to scare you senseless. Anorexia is not a glamorous thing. It's not pretty. It's not beautiful. Vogue and Cosmopolitan will not be banging down your door to sign you as their next hot thing. The fact that you are contemplating (no, desiring!) such a horrid path is very frightening. At 6'1", 167 lbs., you are perfect...exactly where you should be. You should be concentrating on healthy habits, instead. Eat lots of fruits and vegetable, whole grains, lean meats, low-fat dairy products. Exercise. Find an activity that gets your blood pumping and that makes you happy and feel good about yourself. It could just be hip-hop dancing...doesn't have to be anything formally organized. Just move. If you do these things everyday, you will not have a weight problem. You'll be as you are: a lovely young woman...one with a little meat on her bones.

Why does God the Omnipotent have to kill things to make things right? I'm thinking of the story of the flood (tho' Sodom and Gomorrah, and the ten plagues of Egypt fit this description well enough). God doesn't like what he sees, so he kills. End of story. Can't God flip a switch, snap his fingers or something and get what he wants. Should be as easy for him as channel surfing is for us, right? So why does God stoop to blood-thirsty butchering of men, women, children, infants, pregnant women, etc? And why would God stoop so low as to drown all the butterflies (save two of each kind)? What did butterflies ever do to contribute to the "evil" in the world? God couldn't snap his fingers and whisk them all into a safe place in heaven till after the flood? Or chipmunks, or deer, or little baby monkeys, or ... ?

How do I know if I have dry socket and what would it look like? I had four wisdom teeth removed Friday (July 11th). As of now I'm working on the third day(past 48 hrs) since the event. My oral surgeon and dentist both said it all came out really easily-3 teeth got yanked, one got drilled in only 2 pieces. The two top wisdom teeth socket still hurt, but not, I suppose, excruciatingly. However, the feeling on one is weird-there is a tingling sensation radiating up towards the nose/sinus area. I can essentially chew normally with my right side(the side without the drilling). I only had one chipmunk cheek yesterday, and I can barely notice it today. My question is how do I know if I have dry socket?-I've read the answers that say "you will know", but I have a rather high pain tolerance from competing in running throughout high school(learning to work through any pain). Also, although that area doesn't really hurt-the lower socket that is not stitched up looks like it has a clear white spot, beyond the darker clot area. Are dry sockets dark? My oral surgeon prescribed me pretty strong motrin. I'm actually fairly bad about taking it, since pain tolerance and all. Just once around noon, once at night, mostly to sleep better. Also he gave me penicillin, and I try to stay on track with it too, but it also just ends up being taken 3x per day.

12 weeks and I feel SOOOO ugly right now and it is really getting me down.? I am twelve weeks pregnant, and while I am THRILLED to be having my first child, I feel so incredibly repulsive that I cannot bear to look in a mirror. My skin is worse than it has ever been. I have deep painful acne, my face is so pudgy I look like a chipmunk, and my naturally curly hair (which is an an unflattering poofy mess because I am growing it out) has turned into a dried up rats nest. I feel so self conscious, so ugly. I just want to put a bag over my head and cry. To make it worse, I am a social worker for juvenile delinquents in placement. The kids don't know I am pregnant, but they are so mean! They make fun of me all the time and my self esteem is hitting record lows. I feel like people are whispering about me on the street. Normally, I wouldn't give a rats ass what anyone said about me, but this pregnancy has me feeling so vulnerable! I'm sad, and I should be happy. Did anyone else ever feel like this when pregnant? How did you get over it? Thanks everybody, you are all very kind :) I am sure you are right. I just need to wait this out. My husband loves me very much and he doesn't think I look bad. I just need to get used to this and let the idea of looking "pretty" go. It's going to be awhile before I get back to that and in the mean time, I'll learn to deal. Thanks for listening. I look like a CHIPMUNK!!??? I got an expander -top and bottom- a few months ago and now that im finished turning the key I noticed that my lower jaw and my over all face looks wider and when I smile the sides of my face stick out more than they did without the stupid expanders!!! I hate my smile and my face shape now... what should I do??/

Audacity Help? I know that in Audacity you could lower the pitch of a female's voice to make it sound like a male . I do that for songs and it actually sound good^.^ So I was wondering how I would be able to make a male's voice sound like a female. Don't tell me to make the pitch high because I tried that and it sounded like a chipmunk -__-
