Are property managers obligated to provide outside pest control services regularly? My dog has the most horrible flea infestation I have ever seen. It is obviously from outside in my apartment complex where the "dog walk" is. There are no fleas in the house, only the ones that she brings home on her. When asked, the property management team said that they "DO" spray for fleas and insects outside, but would not be able to continue spraying because they used up "their 2007 budget" for pest control. I thought this was a joke, but they were serious. Now, my dog is left with scabs and fleas all over her body...with no way out. Is there anything that the team is obligated to do. This is almost bordering on animal cruelty. For those of you that are assuming I don't take preventative measures towards fleas on my dog and are jumping down my throat making ignorant statements that I am blaming this on other people: My dog is on Frontline 60+lb treatment, every month to the day. She is also bathed regularly using flea preventative shampoos and coat moisturizer. Her hygiene is excellent. We take care of her like a queen. When there is an INFESTATION, however, it's just that...it infests her body. I understand that it is my responsibility people. And have taken such. Everyone is misinterpreting the question and forging their own "placate the asker" scenario. I'm not at the tribunals so relax. It's a question of rights and property managers. She has had Advantixx, Frontline, Gels, Sprays...we've set off bombs in the house, we've taken away all her bedding and blankets.

Anyone used Abell's Pest Control services or anything like that? Hello. We have 2 cats and 2 dogs. We used zodiac spray on all the animals except out newest kitten at first but just tonight we noticed the kitten had tons of adult fleas which we immediately cleaned off and killed the eggs with Dawn soap and then the zodiac spray. She's completely clean of them now but obviously the problem is not solved. We checked the animals we sprayed and the two dogs had fleas in their genital areas. We wiped them down but the flea eggs are obviously still throughout the home. We are a low income family and have been searching through the internet for ways we can fix this flea problem. We came across many home remedies which we will try but like anyone else we would like professional help. We found a few and Abell seemed to be the best. But; we're not sure of the price or anything and we are wondering if anyone else has used their services. We're going to get a free estimate sometime soon (hopefully) but we're not sure how that will come out. Does anyone have any other suggestions on top of this? We've read that extermination can cost anymore from 30-200$ for fleas. Does anyone know a cheaper professional place or if Abell will be too much. We can pay around 100-150$ if we're lucky, but we don't expect it to cost that much since we caught it early and we live in a small apartment. If anyone can help us out it will be greatly appreciated.

Why is Commercial Pest Control more effective than Domestic Pest Control? ? Fumigation used to result in hundreds of dead cockroaches leeching out of the cracks and dropping to the floor .. new pesticides are useless i haven't come across one dead body. I have used a wide range of products to rid myself of german roaches, have hired and payed for hundreds of dollars of domestic pest control services and can honestly say that my coffee cup catches more roaches than all of them combined. Restaurant friends, who had success with their own pest erradications, suggested I hire a company who erradicates pests to industry standards ..ie..for restaurants, motels, and some very well known resorts etc. I figured if it was good enough for them it was going to work for me. The company in question travelled from another city and took aprox 3 hrs to fumigate my house interior/exterior and workshed, it was very expensive but i didn't care so long as the treatment worked. Sadly..I still had roaches!! I've lost faith in all exterminators since then they simply Don't Work!.. and i refuse to pay for services i have NOT received. Are they using different strengths of chemical for domestic areas than they do in Commercial Areas?

Why is it "illegal" for pest control companies to exterminate dangerous spiders? I signed up for service with a pest control company mainly because I wanted to eliminate a spider infestation (brown recluse included). After I had already signed a year contract, they told me that it was llegal for them to specifically kill spiders. I am terrified of the things, as I have been bitten before, and I have 2 small kids who are not afraid to pick up bugs. I have tried killing them myself, but the store-bought chemicals never really work, and I can't use them in most places on the main floor because of the kids. Why do they claim it's illegal to exterminate them? How can I get rid of them successfully (and safely)? Thank you for your answers. I have looked into it from as many different web sources as I can find, and have found that they basically lied to me. So tomorrow they will be getting a call from one POed (possibly former) customer. Yep, it is Terminix.
