I read somewhere that fans of the most recent "Alvin and the Chipmunks" movie were dissatisfied and even appalled because the movie "did not depict the chipmunks in a respectful manner". I had watched the 1980s series as well as "The Chipmunk Adventure" prior to the 2008 movie and though I like "Alvin and the Chipmunks", I didn't see any display of disrespect towards the Chipmunks, even though I didn't think very much of the movie either. I can't remember a name of some old 70's/80's cartoon movie.? It was about two frogs in love and the boy frog wore blue overalls with a red cap and came from a lower class frog society or something and he fell in love with a girl frog who I think wore a pink dress/ballet suit and her dad was a giant king leopard frog or something. And I remember a phrase the narrator repeated a lot "Gribbit to the Limit put your whole heart in it". Also there were two older cartoons one was about this young fox "not the fox and the hound" none of these cartoons are from disney I don't think anyways, I think their from F.H.E. Anyways the young foxes mother and father and siblings were killed and he came back when he grew up. Do you think anyone will pay money for cartoons from the late 1980's to early 1990's? I have so many cartoons from the late 1980's and 1990's that are no longer shown on television, except for two. The only two that are shown on Direct TV are Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers and Talespin. However, I still have shows such as Muppet Babies, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Legend of Zelda, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Care Bears, Tiny Toon Adventures, Ducktales, Beetlejuice, Dennis the Menace etc. So I am just curious if these are worth anything today. The Current Status of Cartoon Network and "Nick" ? ? When I was growing up, Cartoons held alot of meaning then they do now. Cartoons were also better written and a significant amount of quality compared to now-a-days. When I was growing up I often stuck to watching Nickelodean and Cartoon Network, primarily the latter because the Cartoons were great. I look at Nick now and all I ever seem to see are hours and hours of: -Spongebob Square Pants- It wasn't bad for the first 2 Seasons -Tru Jackson VP - Garbage -Fairly Oddparents- Stale -Back at the Barnyard- Stale -Tak and the Power of Juju- Garbage -Mighty B- Half decent. While it's Cartoon Network Counterpart hosts hours and hours of -Total Drama Island- Garbage -6Teen- Garbage -The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack- Mildly Decent -Chowder- Mildly Decent They constantly alternate between T.D.I and 6Teen for hours a day and when they've drained the blood from whoring it they transfer into the latter 2 until Adult Swim airs. I know...some of you may say, "Jarek, if you don't like the shows don't watch them." I feel that way myself some times. But surely this has to relate to someone here. What do you all think, those of you who grew up in the 80's and 90's who saw these shows and went out of your way to watch them? What do you think now when you glance or pass those same networks to see the same trivial, mind-numbing dumbed down garbage for hours at a time being constantly crammed into the minds of today's kids because parent's have grown far too uptight about what they're children see on television? CUD Results!? Huge Main event!? Return of stable!? What do you think? If you don't like it, don't answer it. We begin the show with Courage in the ring. “Last week, Jigsaw Killer thought he could mess with me. But he was wrong. I am sick and tired of him. He has been a thorn in my side this whole time, but I am finally taking it out. Jigsaw, at Your Death Wish, you will get exactly what the title says, your death wish. I promise that you will be walking out of Your Death Wish with nothing less than a trip to the hospital for massive blood loss. But, I’m sure your not here tonight, so I want some one who I can show what I am made of.” GM Rod Flanders came out and said, “Okay, you will face Canadian Champ Odie in a non-title match. Also tonight, Ray Lewis & Ingrid Newkirk will face Barak Obama & Women’s Champ Kim Possible, Alvin will face none other than the Swedish Chef and Billy will face Chuck Norris.” He left as Courage was smiling knowing what he was going to do later on. We begin with Billy vs. Chuck Norris. It was a great match. chuck Norris dominated and was about to win after a Knockout Punch, but Comic Book Guy came from nowhere and distracted the ref. Then, Irwin & Puddin (Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy) came from the other side and hit a Glasses Breaker (Snapshot) on Norris. They put Billy on Norris and left. Comic left too and the ref turned around to count the pin for the win. After the match, Irwin got Billy a mic and Billy yelled, “Norris, you should have thought it over before you started war with me. Now, I got Big, Bad, & Beautiful back together and you will never defeat us.” The next match had Alvin face the Swedish chef. It was a great match as both these managers/wrestlers worked hard. After awhile, WWE Tag Champs Theodore & Simon came out to try to help Alvin, but CUD tag Champs Stewie & Brian Griffin came out to make it even. As the ref was trying to stop the fighting, Swedish Chef got a pan and hit Alvin with it. He pinned him as the ref came back to get the win. Stewie & Brian joined Chef in his celebration as they rubbed it into the Chipmunks’ faces. Ray Lewis & Ingrid Newkirk faced Barak Obama & Women’s Champ Kim Possible. It was a great mixed tag match. Ray & Ingrid just dominated and destroyed them to get the win. After the match, Erin Esurance came from the crowd and hit and Erinfaction on Possible. “I want your title!” she said as we go to break. After the break, it was main event time as Courage faced Odie. Courage destroyed him as the fire inside him burned. He used everything in his arsenal to put Odie out. When they got in the ring, they took the cover off, revealing it to be a casket. Albert opened the casket and Courage picked up Odie. He hit a Choke Bone on him right into the casket and the other two closed it. They celebrated with their back turned to the casket, not knowing what was going on. As they were celebrating, smoke came from the casket and it opened up. Out came jigsaw with no Odie in sight. When the trio turned around, they saw Jigsaw, who punched all of them with force several times. He then got barbed wire and lined the inside of the casket with it. He Jigsaw Powerbombed Courage right into the casket and closed it hard. We end the show as Jigsaw shows his evil smile. Thanks for the support.
