Oh and please make sure they're not religious, because some please aren't religious and also make sure they're not so long, cuz people don't wanna stand there thinking, "When are these horrible singers going to STOP singing??! Should I just close the door???, Nooo, that's rude."
What are some fun Christmas novelty songs and carols? Other than the good old, classic standby Christmas carols, what are some really great Christmas novelty songs? So far all I have is "I'm getting nothin' for Christmas" and "I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" (my favorite!). Please help me come up with a list that my family (and myself) will enjoy. Best answer goes to whoever can name the most. Thanks!!

What are your top five Christmas songs in order of preference? Not including carols - they're a whole other lovely list! Mine starting with my absolute favourite are: 1. Baby It's Cold Outside (Zooey Deschanel and Leon Redbone version) 2. All I Want For Christmas (cheesy loveliness!) 3. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas - Judy Garland 4. The Christmas Song - Nat King Cole 5. Winter Wonderland
What is some of your favorite Christmas music? Besides the classic Christmas carols, what are some of your favorite holiday songs? All I Want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey, Greatest Time of Year by Aly & AJ, and My Christmas List by Simple Plan are my favorites.
Care to share any Christmas songs that put you in the Christmas mood? I'm trying to build up a list of Christmas songs to put my family in the Christmas-y mood. And by that, I mean not artists like Cascada, Mariah Carey, Destiny's Child.. Like those, get it? I want the feeling I had listening to music around christmas like when I was like 5-8, or in other words about 8 years ago.. I don't think you'd call 'em classics, but anyways, I'd really appreciate any suggestions, cause the only thing I can remember is 'Rocking around the Christmas Tree - Brenda Lee'. Oh, and I've got a suggestion for other Christmas lovers, Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration (Album) Which includes this song, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKrx-4Awe70 that I love, my favorite parts are the ones with the violin. Carol Of The Bells - Celtic Woman
Should Mariah Carey's All I want for Christmas be a Christmas Classic? I know some of you guys doesn't like Mariah Carey because eaither you think she's too hip hop and r&b. Or you think she is slutty with the way she dresses but you have to admit that she has a great voice. One of her song is called All I want for Christmas and personally I think it's an amazing song. Whenever that song comes on, I think of Christmas. So should that song be a Christmas Classic? It doesn't have to be one of those Christmas Carols or the traditional religious christmas songs but should it be part of the great christmas music lists that whenever you hear that song you feel that Christmas is in the air? Like Jingle Bell Rock, Rudolph the red nose reindeer, Deck the halls, beginning to look a lot like christmas, rockin around the christmas tree, my grownup christmas list and so on? I think it should be part of those wondeful christmas songs. What do you think?
What Are Your Favourite and Least Favourite Christmas Carols? I am trying to find songs to play in Christmas Day, and to get my family and myself in the mood. Please give me a suggestion list, your favourites and you least favourites (pleas don’t include any of my hates in your suggestion list). Here are my favourites: #5 – Jingle Bells. It is a classic carol. It is gorgeous. It is a shame, however, that there have been terrible versions of it. You know ‘Jingle Bells, Batman Smells’ and ‘Jingle Bells Rock’. They are two terrible remixes. #4 – Santa Claus Is Coming To Town. Lovely, lovely, lovely. It used to be on this little keyboard I had when I was younger. #3 – Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. Love it. Original Christmas Carol. Gorgeous, just gorgeous. #2 – Silent Night. It would be my favourite, but another song beat it. It is a gorgeous carol and a great way to get your kids asleep at night. It is so lovely, an simple. #1 – Away In A Manger. It is lovely. Just gorgeous, it is a beautiful version a Jesus’ birth in a song. Here are my least favourites: #5 – All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth. It is a terrible song, and is encouraging kids to want to grow up. #4 – The 12 Days Of Christmas. That song just keeps going on and on and on. Why can’t it be The 3 Days Of Christmas, instead? #3 – Jingle Bells Rock. It is a terrible remix of a lovely Christmas carol. (Refer to #5 favourites). Why do people change songs? It is just a way of teaching kids violence. #2 – Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. I love it, but it just goes on, when kids get it stuck in their head. #1 – Santa Claus Is Coming To Town. Again, I love it, but it just keeps repeating. Thanks. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Can anyone recommend any old-fashioned, non-religious Christmas songs? Can anyone recommend any old-fashioned, non-religious (or not too religious anyway) Christmas songs? Some examples of ones I already have short-listed are The Holly and the Ivy; Carol of the Bells; Deck the Halls; Good King Wenceslas... I look forward to any other suggestions (and if you've got links to where I can hear an extract, in case I don't recognise the name that'd be really helpful..)
What are your absolute favorite Christmas carols? Don't list too much; only list your favorite. And, remember many different artists sing different versions of a song, so if you could, include the artist, too. Thanks!

What are you favorite Christmas Songs? I like Carol of the Bells, Silent Night, Hark the Harold Angels Sing, and that Grown-Up Christmas list or wish or whatever that is. What are yours?
What is your favorite Christmas movie and Christmas song? Age and gender please? Mine is: Movie: The Christmas List A Diva's Christmas Carol I'll Be Home For Christmas with Jonathon Taylor Thomas Song: Silver Bells and I'm Dreaming of A White Christmas 19/f As a matter of fact Lizzie132..... it just so happens that I am married. I like to know age and gender for the simple fact of knowing what age group likes what. Since you said "gay" I take it that you are about 13, and those are your favorites. A very popular and classic Christmas movie is "The Christmas Story" so it would be interesting for me to know if a 51 year old man likes it as much as a 18 year old girl. Thanks for your rude comment, very mature.
I Need Help With Christmas Music? I need a list of ATLEAST 15 to 20 new age, classical, and new christmas songs/carols. Can you please help me out?? Thanks! ^^
Do we need to update our Christmas Carol "Classics" with a few more contemporary hits? Don't get me wrong. I love the old standards. But when I go to the mall or hear the piped in Christmas music, I just wonder "What would it take to get a newer musical creation ORDAINED as a 'classic' so it would not be the same old collection of songs each year?" I'm not saying let's ditch the classics. I'm asking what NEW songs created and popularized over say, the last big revolution in music -- which I count as the innovation of Rock-N-Roll -- should we start including into our list of STANDARD Christmas songs. And no, I'm not saying they should all be Rock-N-Roll. They can be any genre..just something a little more current than 200 years old, how 'bout, eh? I get jazzed when I hear one of my favorites play -- "Jingle Bell Rock". Bouncey and cute. I play it on the piano and it's a crowd pleaser. I propose "Little Saint Nick" by the Beach Boys. REAL cute song. Here's a link to the lyrics: http://www.musicsonglyrics.com/B/beachboyslyrics/beachboyslittlesaintnicklyrics.htm I like to create my own collections of songs on custom-made compilations. What contemporary songs with a Christmas theme can you think of that might be working their way into common acceptance as a newly ordained "classic", or perhaps sometime in the future if we can get the pundits who control these things to sit up off their old duffers and take notice to what we've been listening to on the radio for the last 30 or 40 years? For reference, here are the lyrics to the Beach Boys song I assert could be ordained into classic status based on catchy melody, memorable lyrics, harmonic repeatability, & fun, original Christmas attitude: LITTLE SAINT NICK Merry Christmas Saint Nick Christmas comes this time each year Well way up north where the air gets cold There's a tale about Christmas That you've all been told And a real famous cat all dressed up in red All he spends all year workin' out on his sled It's the little Saint Nick Little Saint Nick It's the little Saint Nick Little Saint Nick Just a little bobsled we call the old Saint Nick But she'll walk a toboggan with a four speed stick She's candy apple red with a ski for a wheel And when Santa hits the gas man just watch her peel It's the little Saint Nick Little Saint Nick It's the little Saint Nick Little Saint Nick Run run reindeer Run run reindeer Whoaa Run run reindeer Run run reindeer He don't miss no one And haulin' through the snow at a frightening speed With a half a dozen deer with Rudy to lead He's got to wear his goggles cause the snow really flies And he's cruisin' every path with a little surprise It's the little Saint Nick Little Saint Nick It's the little Saint Nick Little Saint Nick Oooooooo Merry Christmas Saint Nick Christmas comes this time each year [Repeat twice & fade]

What are your perfect Halloween songs? Halloween's now around the corner. Christmas has its own carols, and Halloween also has its own music that you would hear at a Halloween party. If I can think about what are the perfect Halloween songs to include in my playlists, then I'll say My Chemical Romance songs such as "Dead!" and "The Ghost Of You" due to their horror musical themes such as vampires and blood. What about you? What are your perfect Halloween songs? Please list your examples, like certain songs that contain Halloween-sounding words in its song titles.

Can anyone help me find the name of a Christmas song? This may be a tall order but here goes - I am trying to put together a mix CD of my favourite Christmas songs, and one of them I don't know the name of so can anyone identify it from these clues .. ? ~ Last year (2010) on Radio Two during Paul O'Grady's show they were playing it as the backing music when they were reading out messages from listeners, celebrities etc. (I tried looking it up on their website but of course because they didn't play the whole thing, only an extract, it's the one song that's not listed..) ~ You normally hear an instrumental version of it (if there are versions with words I don't think I've ever heard them). ~ Another one of my favourite Christmas songs is: Carol of the Bells, and the two songs remind me of each other, the atmosphere they conjure up etc... Thanks..! You're good Ashcan - that's the one: In Dulci Jubilo

What's YOUR favorite Christmas movies/shows/music? Every year is pretty much the same for me, except for a few additions. I never subtract anything. My routine keeps getting bigger. It's just what i love about Christmastime. Since the 70's, there's several Christmas albums i listen to. I listen to Bobby Helms, "Jingle Bell Rock" Christmas album. I've had the 33rpm version in the 70's. In the late 80's/early 90's i found the casette. Then, in the past few years, i converted the casette to CD with my pc, so that album will always be part of my collection. It has great sentimental value, as It was my late mom's favorite Christmas album. She loved it better than the one Elvis put out! I've found some other great Christmas albums since then, like Alabama's Christmas album, John Tesh's Christmas album, and Manheim Steamroller's. Garth Brooks' "Beyond the Season" is another favorite of mom's and mine. Pavarotti's "Ave Maria" was my dad's favorite Christmas song/version. Mom's favorite Christmas song was "We Three Kings (of Orient Are)" As far as Christmas shows, of course it's the favorites on many people's list. "A Charlie Brown Christmas", "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", "Frosty the Snowman", "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer", and my favorite i've loved since i was a kid, "Santa and the Three Bears". I've put some of these on a DVD so they're well preserved. As far as movies, "Scrooge", the 1970's version is a great one. The 1984 version with George C. Scott is another great version of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol". There's also "The Santa Clause" movies with Tim Allen, Jim Carrey's "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" is also another favorite. "Elf" with Will Ferrell is another great one. Of course, the best Christmas movie is, by far, "It's a Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart. I am wondering if they will ever remake that movie to fit modern times, or if they will just keep it as it is, a classic. I also watch tv specials like variety shows. Back in the 70's and 80's, I used to watch Perry Como's Christmas specials with my dad. They were some great ones he had on tv, shot from all over the world. My dad loved Christmastime more than any other time of the year, and i feel the same.

Can anyone help me identify a popular oldie song (mid 1970s to 1980)? There's the name 'Carol' (not sure if the name is part of the song title, but it is DEFINITELY in the lyrics.) And no, it's not a christmas carol, but the NAME, Carol. Please give me a list of potential songs! Thanks so much!
The track list of Dax Johnson's Christmas album? I'm a recent fan of Dax Johnson; I bought his Christmas album off of iTunes but the names and songs don't seem to line up (i.e. "Cannon" sounds "Carol of the Bells" and "O Come All Ye Faithful" sounds like "Cannon"). Anyone know the correct track listing? @Julian of N. : It's listed as "Cannon" a.k.a. Pachelbel's "Canon". But he's a composer for solo piano so I'm not sure where else to place this :\

What's your favorite Christmas song? I can't wait for the Christmas songs to start playing on TV :D So what's your favorite one? I like: Last Christmas (Wham!) Any ideas for a Scavenger Hunt? I need ideas for a scavenger hunt at a local mall. I don't want it to be like a scavenger hunt where you go around and find things, i want it to be a list of things to do such as: go in front of target and greet people as they enter, saying "welcome to walmart!" and I already found the one on birthdaypartyideas4kids.com so please don't direct me there. i'm looking for fun unique ideas that would be wierd to do but not too wierd as no one would do it. please help!! current ideas: -Dress up as characters from “The Wizard of Oz” (Disney Store) and use a common sidewalk as your yellow brick road. Sing “We’re off to see the Wizard, the Wonderful Wizard of Oz” while skipping. (video) -Take a picture with someone in uniform -Take a picture with the weirdest-looking person you can find (cannot be a teammate or someone you know) -Go Christmas caroling and walk up to two random groups of people singing Christmas songs. -Climb on top of the caterpillar in the kiddie playground area. Yell “I’m king of the world!!!!” (video, one person) -Reenact an epic Star Wars battle in the middle of the mall (‘Luke, I am your father!’) (video) -Walk up to 15 random people asking them if they have seen the muffin man (video) -Go to a clothing store and ask the employees if they have seen your lost llama “Gertrude” wandering around the store. -walk around and pick a couple to run up to. Look very excited, and act like one of them is a famous person (ex: Johnny Depp, Lindsay Lohan) whip out your autograph book and insist that that person sign. After they sign, run away proclaiming your happiness of the experience. -Ride the kiddie train. -Do the wave on the escalator. Try to get other people behind or in front of you to join you. Some of these are exclusively for the mall that we're having the scavenger hunt at (as not all malls have a kiddie area with a giant caterpillar that you can climb on and a kiddie train) please help!
Do you like this christmas story? (I wrote it)? I posted this before, but I rewrote the ending, I didnt like it. An Ironic Name: Cold water soaked her right ankle and oozed quickly down into her favorite shoes, a pair of beaten up converse. “Damnit!” she yelled, though over the loud, pouring rain, her family couldn’t hear her, as they scrambled to get into the silver SUV. They had just started their holiday shopping at the mall for the distant relatives. It was cold, wet, and miserable. Winter. Turning on the radio, her dad hoped to put everyone in a little bit better mood, but the over sung Christmas song by some unknown female pop star looking to cash in on the commercialized holiday put Noel Riga in an even worse mood. She hated everything about the holiday season. She hated the mindless materialism, the hypocrisy of it all, the crowded malls, the terrible music, the superstition of religion, everyone looking for a tip. But most of all, Noel despised that it was a family holiday and that her relatives felt obligated to come over. A fight would always break out, like last year, when her grandma screamed in broken English that she was leaving, and never wanted to see her unappreciative family ever again. The annual holiday party her mom hosted was yet another catastrophe, because her mom’s opinion on clean could rival that of an operating room or a five-star hotel. But Noel couldn’t just help dust and vacuum, she had to do it all while being yelled at at an excruciatingly loud decibel by her mother. It was awful. And yet another quip of hers was her name. Noel!? There really couldn’t have been a worse name for a Scrooge like herself. She considered going by her middle name for a while, but Carol wasn’t much better. So, as her calendar got more and more X’s on the month of December, Noel found herself dreading the holiday season more than usual. She wished with a snap she could make it January 2nd, and forget about the horrid holiday’s altogether. It was her family’s tradition to make their wish lists on December 15th, exactly ten days before the big day. She scoffed at her brother’s list, which was frightfully long and detailed¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬: “#16. Slip on vans, blue with black trim, size 13. Check online.” She pondered what to put on her list. She had pretty much everything she needed or wanted, and the few things she needed or wanted already, and the couple small things she desired could be bought with the money given to her by an aunt or uncle who wouldn’t dare getting a more personalized gift, lest he or she get the wrong thing. So Noel’s list contained only one item- a drama-free, happy Christmas and Hanukkah celebration. That was all. Unfortunately, she knew her twin brother was more likely to get everything on his long list, which was now being continued on the back of the college-ruled notebook paper. She had little hope or faith in her family. Noel sighed. Looks like another crappy December. She signed as her tears slowly trickled down her cheek and fell on her black jeans, leaving tiny traces of her sorrow. Her mom yelled at her to stop crying, and with hiccups she attempted to. But everything was still miserable, so forcing her tears to end was a useless endeavor. Noel’s mother asked her why she would even want to celebrate Jesus’ birth if she was atheist and declared she was disappointed with her parenting and was ashamed of her daughter. Noel’s silent tears fell quicker than before. She wondered what would become of the next several days, and shouted to her mother that she couldn’t celebrate anything, because the word implied happiness. And with that, Noel Carol Riga fled from the house. THE STORY IS OVER. There is no happy ending, because there wouldn't be one in real life.

this list made me giggle, what do you think? Get to know a friends bookie and place bets for them. Insist on keeping half of any money they win. Accuse people of "glue sniffing addictions" in public. Call other people "Champ" or "Tiger.". Refer to yourself as "Coach." Drum on every available surface. Sing the Batman theme incessantly. Staple papers together in the middle of the page. Ask 1-800 operators for dates. Produce a rental video consisting entirely of dire FBI copy warnings. Sew anti-theft detector strips into people's backpacks. Hide dairy products in inaccessible places. Insist on giving weather forecasts in public. Claim to be AMS certified. Surprise old friend's by visiting them at 3AM "to discuss old times". Insist on buying airplane tickets for friends to "save them money." Make sure the plane departs at 5AM and the tickets are non-refundable. Point out that you didn't really save them any money. Write the surprise ending to a novel on its first page. Specify that your drive-through order is "to go". Set alarms for random times. Learn Morse code, and have conversations with friends in public consisting entirely of "Beeeep Bip Bip Beeeep Bip..." Buy large quantities of mint dental floss just to lick the flavor off. Order a side of pork rinds with your filet mignon. Instead of Gallo, serve Night Train next Thanksgiving. Leave your Nine Inch Nails tape in Great Uncle Ed's stereo, with the volume properly adjusted. Publicly investigate just how slowly you can make a "croaking" noise. Honk and wave to strangers. Dress only in clothes colored Hunter's Safety Orange. Change channels five minutes before the end of every show. Tape pieces of "Sweating to the Oldies" over climactic parts of rental movies. Wear your pants backwards. Decline to be seated at a restaurant, and simply eat their complementary mints by the cash register. Begin all your sentences with "Oh la la!" Rouse your roommate/spouse from slumber each morning with Lou Reed's "Metal Machine Music". Leave someone's printer in compressed-italic-landscape mode. ONLY TYPE IN UPPERCASE. dont use any punctuation Buy a large quantity of orange traffic cones and reroute whole streets. Pay for your dinner with pennies. Tie jingle bells to all your clothes. Repeat everything someone says, as a question. Write "X - Buried Treasure" in random spots on roadmaps. Explain to everyone you meet of your Kennedy assassination/UFO/OJ Simpson conspiracy theories. Repeat the following conversation a dozen times: "Do you hear that?" "What?" "Never mind, it's gone now." Light road flares on a birthday cake. Wander around the restaurant, asking other diners for their parsley. Leave tips in Bolivian currency. Demand that everyone address you as "Conquistador". Push all the flat Lego pieces together tightly. At the laundromat, use one dryer for each of your socks. When Christmas carolling, sing "Jingle Bells, Batman smells..." until physically restrained. Wear a cape that says "Magnificent One". As much as possible, skip rather than walk. Stand over someone's shoulder, mumbling, as they read. Finish the 99 bottles of beer song. Leave your turn signal on for fifty miles. Pretend your mouse is a CB radio, and talk to it. Try playing the William Tell Overture by tapping on the bottom of your chin. When nearly done, announce "no, wait, I messed it up", and repeat. Why walk when you can drive that half a block? Name your dog "Dog". Inform others that they exist only in your imagination. Ask people what gender they are. Reply to everything someone says with, "That's what you think." Lick the filling out of all the Oreos, and place the cookie parts back in the tray. Cultivate a Norwegian accent. If Norwegian, affect a Southern Drawl. Forget the punchline to a long joke, but assure the listener it was a "real hoot". Routinely handcuff yourself to furniture, informing the curious that you don't want to fall off "in case the big one comes". Sculpt your hedges into anatomically suggestive shapes. Follow a few paces behind someone, spraying everything they touch with a can of Lysol. Deliberately hum songs that will remain lodged in co-workers' brains, such as the Mr Rogers theme song. While making presentations, occasionally bob your head like a parakeet. Make beeping noises when a large person backs up. Leave your Christmas lights up and lit until September. Change your name to John Aaaaasmith for the great glory of being first in the phone book. Claim it's a Hawaiian name, and demand that people pronounce each A. Sit in your front yard pointing a hair dryer at passing cars to see if they slow down. Chew on pens that you've borrowed. Invent nonsense computer jargon in conversations, and see if people play along to avoid the appearance of ignorance. Wear a lot of cologne. Ask people if you may "interface" with them. Listen to 33rpm records at 45rpm speed, and claim the faster speed is necessary because of your "superior mental processing". Sing along at the opera. Mow your lawn with scissors. Finish all your sentences with the words "in accordance with the prophesy". Ask the waitress for an extra seat for your "imaginary friend". Go to a poetry recital and ask why each poem doesn't rhyme. Ask your co-workers mysterious questions, and scribble their answers in a notebook. Mutter something about "psychological profiles". Incessantly recite annoying phrases, such as "sticky wicket isn't cricket." Stare at static on the tv and claim you can see the "magic picture". Select the same song on the jukebox fifty times. Scuff your feet on a dry, shaggy carpet and seek out victims. Do not add any inflection to the end of your sentences, producing awkward silences with the impression that you'll be saying more any moment. Never make eye contact. Never break eye contact. Signal that a conversation is over by clamping your hands over your ears. Construct elaborate "crop circles" in your front lawn. Construct your own pretend "tricorder", and "scan" people with it, announcing the results. Give a play-by-play account of a person's every action in a nasal Howard Cosell voice. Shout random numbers while someone is counting. Make appointments for the 31st of September. Invite lots of people to other people's parties. When asked to do things, repeat the instructions to the body parts involved. (ie. "Hand, will you please open the door.") When people ask you to do things, mutter under your breath, "This won't be neccessary where you are going." Wait until you get to work to shave. Tell small children that they don't look very promising.
Could someone name a song from "The Carol at the King's" on BBC 2 on christmas eve? The song/hymn or whatever it is was sang only by the choir, and it was just before the words from the priest and the song "O come all ye faithful". It was in King's College Cambridge and on BBC 2 and the song was sang at about 7:50. I doubt there's a track listing sent out on the internet for this kind of thing, so i'm asking anybody who might have knowledge of this kind of thing. Thanks alot!
Creative Zen Playlist Help!!!? Here's My Dilemma: So I have a few playlists on my Creative Zen mp3 player which are New Hits, Christmas Carols, and Old School & Dance Hits! Well I would like to add a few new songs to the Old School playlist but here's the problem. Whenever I plug in my mp3 player and drag the new song over in the sync list and click on Add To Old School playlist..I sync the song and when I look in my playlist..the song isn't there. It is in the Now Playing list. I've seen on the internet that a lot of people have a hard time with this. But when I go to that song in the Now Playing list and try to override my Old School list, it adds all the songs from the Now Playing list to the Old School list. Its terribly confusing and super frustrating. Does anyone know of a simple way to just add a song to an existing playlist without a million steps? Or maybe I should just buy a new mp3 player. Im about to pull my hair out. Someone help meeee!!! (also..this prob is not in Creative Q&As)
How's my essay on winter? Ok. It's due tomorrow. The assignment is on what our favorite time of the year is and why. Please be harsh... she's a really tough grader. Winter Report Final Copy Brent O'Neill "Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle All The Way!" sings the Christmas carolers. It's my favorite time of the year. This season seems like it goes by the fastest and it has more events going on during it than any other season of the year. I love the hustle and the bustle of Christmas time. There's lots of holidays and there's even more days off of school. To top it off, there's snow! It's by far the best season. The snow and the cold make up the unpredictable winter weather. Every morning is a new surprise because you don't know what the weather will be like. I love that feeling because the same thing doesn't happen everyday. The cold is so much more comfortable for me and I don't have to worry about sweating or getting dehydrated. The snow is fun and it makes beautiful scenery too! The snow brings an endless supply of fun. My friends and I all bring our sleds to the big hills in my neighborhood. We zoom down them and race to see who goes the fastest. Then, just as the sun goes down, we all get ready for battle. Everyone gets into position and stays hidden. The game is on. Each person scoops up snow, forms it into balls, and acts like a secret agent. We all creep up on the others to ambush them. It's fun that you can only get this time of the year. Christmas break is the longest break during the school year. It's a time to sleep in and relax all day long. Not going to school is the very best part. Instead of doing work all day, I get to stay home, watch TV, and play with my friends. For a couple of days, I stay over at my grandparent's house. My grandpa always takes me and my brother to the movie theater once or twice. We enjoy getting spoiled by our loving Grandma and Grandpa. When we get back we spend our time hanging out with our friends. Christmas is the climax of winter. I love going to church to hear about the birth of Jesus. Every year I go Christmas caroling with my youth group at church. We don't do it the normal way though. We have a list of things that we need to do like singing the songs in a cheerleader pyramid. I love this zany version of caroling. My church always has a humorous Christmas play that we do, telling the Christmas story in a new way each year. I like the giving of presents on Christmas morning, but I really love to get them. Winter is the best season. The games, snow, relaxation, Christmas stories, and presents all make up the most wonderful time of the year! They all seem to come to my mind whenever think of winter. All these reasons are why I think winter is amazing. Sorry I posted it in R&S. I know it doesn't really go with the catagory. I need to get the paper in soon and this is a very active catagory, more than the others. There are also very educated people in here. So thaks
Christmas Music For Ballet Performance (please read description carefully)? I am a Ballet teacher looking for some slow agage style Christmas music. I want classical music, full orchestra or just Piano, little to no brass (trumpet is fine), no organ, prefer no spinet. Absolutely no singers! Please do not answer if you have no idea what I'm talking about. I need this music for a performance for 10 year olds so it HAS to be slow. Examples of music that I already have and would like to find more of a similar nature: Fantasia on Greensleeves by Vaughn Williams Carol of The Bells by George Winston Song For The King by Michael W. Smith What Child Is This by Michael W. Smith (2008 Piano & Orchestra version) Do Not List any Ballets! I already have them. lol
Could this happen to me? I've watched Disney movies and Disney Channel all of my life, and ever since I can remember, I have wanted to be the star of a Disney show. I know, lots of people will say that there is a one in millions chance that this would happen and I could ever be as famous as Miley, Demi or Selena (or past stars), but this is something I REALLY want. Before anyone asks, I have an agent, go to eight dance classes a week, two singing classes, a drama class, and play the piano outside of school, and have dance, drama and music lessons inside of school. I also know I can do these things better than most people, because even when I was in Primary School, I got the main part (out of 45 children) in our school play - Scrooge, in A Christmas Carol; and they even said they were going to give that role to a boy. I had a whole script to learn, and a few solo songs. My main problem is that I live in the UK. Is it possible to get a Disney Channel audition there? Also, you could say my agent should be finding auditions, but even though she's submitted me for loads of things on her books (I have seen the list!), I haven't been called for any auditions and it's been a year and a half. Could it be because I don't have any experience? What's made me ask about this now, is because I had a fortune cookie the other day that said I will get the oppurtunity for my dream to come true this year, and my horoscope said I'm going to get some oppurtunities. I'm not really superstitious, but I am feeling really hopeful right now. Could any of this come true? Thanks :) I really don't want to sound big-headed or anything, it's just this is something that I really enjoy. Also, I wouldn't have to worry about schooling, as I get really good grades (I haven't got anything less than an A this year...). I really do sound like a show off... :-/ I'm sorry, because I really aren't!

What the hell did you do with Christmas ??? Firstly i must state I DO NOT mean this question in any racial context and im most certainly not racist! Just to get that out the way b4 i get in trouble. But does anyone else think the rules that seem to build with every xmas over what we can & cannot do is stupid? For example.... We cannot have xmas songs on the radio or overtalk about xmas on the radio until December 1st...... We should not have nativity based xmas concerts...... children should not be encouraged to sing christian based carols..... Were encouraged to say season greetings and not happy xmas....... encouraged to avoid placing decorations in windows..... the list is endless.... my friends who are of different nationalitys and religion also think this is stupid.. so whats the problem? I dont get it other religions celebrate and like my friend who is from India said if we went to other peoples countries we wouldnt discourage or take offence to their celebrations.... i mean you even hav 2 say baabaa multi coloured sheep!
Christmas Gift riddles? My mom started numbering our presents. Instead of To: Brittany, she has To: 12 or any other number! Then twelve days before Christmas she gave us a clue to figure out whose present is which number. I will list the clues in a minute. I want to find out where the list is that says what present is whose. Clue #1: Deck the halls with boughs of holly, Fa la la la la, la la la la. 'Tis the season to be jolly, Fa la la la la, la la la la Follow me in merry measure Fa la la la la, la la la la While I tell of Yule tide treasure, Fa la la la la , la la la la la. Clue#2 Santa's made a list and he's checked it twice If you can find the list, that'd be real nice. Throughout December, decorations abound, Among these, Santa's list might be found. Clue #3 It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas Ev'rywhere you go; There's a tree in the Grand Hotel, one in the park as well, The sturdy kind that doesn't mind the snow. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas; Soon the bells will start, The the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing Right within your heart. Clue #4 Have some fun and sing a song Listen for clues and don't be wrong. Buried in the lyrics if you don't mind Is a common thread where the list you'll find. That's all the clues we have gotten so far. But here is what I think. I think it is somewhere around the Christmas tree...? Or somewhere with music.... Any ideas??? We don't have any musical ornaments... and we have two musical santa's but we already looked there... :( I will look again though ^_^ well...I looked in the Christmas tree and ALL around it. And then me and my sister took out ALL of the presents and looked on all sides of them. But then we have this other tree (just one of those fake trees you put in your house all year) that we light up with lights at Christmas time, and there was this star in the tree that opens and there the list was. I found it ^_^ I said, "Maybe it isn't the Christmas tree but another tree..." so I went and looked, and sure enough, there it was! Thanks for all your ideas! Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!
Do you like the holiday story I wrote? I'm in 9th grade and my English teacher had us write a short holiday story. What should I title it? Do you like the story, the writing style? Cold water soaked her right ankle and oozed quickly down into her favorite shoes, a pair of beaten up converse. She hated the mindless materialism, the hypocrisy of it all, the crowded malls, the terrible music, and everyone looking for a tip. Unfortunately, she knew her twin brother was more likely to get everything on his long list, which was now being continued on the back of college-ruled notebook paper. She had little hop or faith in her family. “How are we supposed to get you that?” they asked. Noel sighed. Looks like another crappy December. But she had spoken too soon. Her mother had informed her that she would be forgoing the holiday party. The relatives came, and went for a walk any time the tension became uncomfortable. The Riga’s even agreed to not play holiday music, unless it was a true classic. Noel helped her mom put all the old keepsake ornaments in the tree while eating homemade gingerbread cookies, the whole time wearing a (gasp!) Santa hat. And for the first time in her 14 year life, she was proud of her name: Noel Carol Riga.
