Alvin and the chipmunks is about to go off..?

I need help I want to see alvin and the chipmunks, but i want to no if it is any good. It is about to go off next Friday I need to no now, I checked online at my local theater and they said it is going off at that theater on Friday. So, help me please

1. Not the same as the cartoon, which I preferred the original cartoon more.
2. Ive heard great things about that movie. It depends on your age. I think 8-15 is more of the age group.
3. i thot it was the cutest little movie ive ever seen...:)
