How can I convert an MP3 song into the high pitched/chipmunk voice?

Hey, can somebody tell me how to change a regular MP3 song into a high pitched chipmunk voice on GarageBand. I've heard people do it before, but I never knew how. I already tried doing it, but it came out REALLY scratchy and bad, although it was already high pitched. Can somebody please help? Thanks so much in advance!
