- when i had tape player back in the day u could record one tape and play the other one with the ffd and play button held down at the same time and it would make it sound like chipmunks also the same thing with pause and play would make it sound like dj screw, im sure with computer programs u could create the same effect.
- Open the song with Windows Media Player. Go up to the top and click the very bottom of the tab that says "Now Playing." It should give you a drop-down menu. Click "Enhancements" On the new list that appears, click "Show Enhancements." Then you should see some stuff appear under the picture window of the media player. There are left and right arrows at the top left of the stuff that you see. Keep clicking the right arrow until you come to "Play Speed Settings." There's a scroll bar that you can move left and right. Normally it's in the middle, but if you drag it to the RIGHT, it speeds up the sound and "chipmunks it." Hope this helps you!
- The way it was done in the late 1950s when The Chipmunks were invented was to record voices at a very slow speed and then play the tape at a normal speed. It made the voices sound like chipmunks.
