how do you get rid of chipmunks burrowing holes underneath a hot tub outdoors?

I have a hot tub built into the groud - so that the top is level with my deck. I have chipmunks digging so many holes that I am afraid of the foundation tilting do to soil erotion caused by their burrowing. I've tried moth balls down the holes and that worked for only about a week. My cats are of no use - the chipmunks are too many and too fast.

2. Heard this one on an info-mercial: use Ammonia and water mixed 1 to 1 in a spray bottle around where they are digging. The ammonia fumes will drive them away and along with every other rodent family member
3. Try daggling rubber snakes near to repell them. Traps, because they need to go outside to eat. Flood them out. Smoke them out. Use wire mesh to keep them from returning.
