Carpet is infested with ticks should I replace it?

signed and rented a condo from a lady 2 days ago. now i realize it is infested with ticks. terminix came but guy said it was "heavily infested" she wants to continue treatments but i dont feel safe in there anymore unless the carpets get replaced..do i have the right and is this the 100% to tick infestation..i read online from a lot of people that pest control does not solve the problem completley anyone with the same problem please comment! any professional exterminator anyone with good advice please comment!

1. Either wait till done with getting rid of them and sleep in a hotel while you wait or replace carpet. I would replace carpet.

4. i think you should move out. And if she doesn't give you back you're security deposit, you could sue her and state that she sold you a condo that's infected with ticks without tell you.
5. oh my that's very dangerous id remove all the carpet and then terminate the place before putting new carpet in Don't wait its you life's safety in danger and if you have animals its their life too

7. Steam cleaning should kill off the ticks. When dry, vacuum thoroughly.
8. You should talk to her about it if she doesn't let you I would move, I mean you've probably gotten them by now. It is the owners responsibility to take care of the condo, you don't have a nice landlord on your hands.

10. Did you happen to sign up for renters insurance when you signed the deal with the lady for the condo? If you have, she is legally responsible for putting you up in a hotel or another LIVABLE condo until yours is fixed. I'm not 100% sure that the treatments will completely remove the infestation, and it may be required for you to replace the carpeting in the whole household as well as any drapes or furnishings that may be in the house.
11. Get the lady who your renting from to replace the carpet. It's going to take a lot of treatments from TERMINAUX if the carpet is that infested
12. The place is unlivable at this time. Call the lady she can replace the carpet now! or let you out of your lease. Quick before your sofa is full of the little devils. If she refuses, call a lawyer. FYI - Steam will not kill them.

15. TICKS?!? Time to MOVE OUT. You are exposing yourself to disease. Get another place, this one sounds disgusting! 11-09-08 I hope you have moved out by now! Treatments for a heavy infestation is only a quick fix. Ticks do come back quite easily. Heck, I'd ask to have the carpet ripped out. Those are living conditions no one should have to put up with!!
