Mouse traps while away from apartment for a month?

I've recently started having a mouse problem in my apartment and have killed 4 in the past week using normal snap traps. I also have a couple glue traps set up near walls and an electronic pest control thing plugged in (though its of questionable use). However, the holiday season is here so I'll be going away from my place for a about a month. I don't want to come back to a bunch of mice running and pooping around though. I also don't want to set traps and have dead mice rotting away for a month attracting bugs and stinking up my stuff. What would you do? Would you set traps? Thanks and happy holidays!

  1. yeas ,definitely hide food source from kitchen. They will dry like rock by the time you come back, winter time no fly, you ok
  2. Set the traps! Geez. Your question is funny. So YOU are the guy that walks into the hair salon and says "I want a haircut but I don't want to pay for it."
  3. Standard Victor snap traps are the only solution. Turn your apartment's temp down to about 50-55 degrees. They won't stink. There are no other traps that will work in a situation like this. I have killed 40 mice in my farmhouse in the last 2 months, and sometimes I have been gone for 1 to 2 weeks. The cool temps due to the heater setting make them NOT blow up and putrify.
