What controller is used for the Wii Alvin and the Chipmunks game?

My nephew is after the Alvin and the Chipmunks game for Wii but he doesn't know if you have to use a controller similar to Guitar Hero or wether you use a normal wii controller I've searched on google and sites like IGN but nothing comes up about the controller itself Can anyone help me? thanks

1. I couldn't find the answer online either, but typically, if a game uses a special controller, it will come in the box with the game. But in all honesty, I haven't seen too many good reviews on this game. You should probably try renting it first, in case he ends up not enjoying it.
2. I played this game very briefly using the wiimote, but it was quite difficult to control and therefore , very annoying. It's very similar to the parts of Happy Feet where Mumble is dancing and you have to point the wiimote at the blue circles as they decrease in size. This time you have to hit the circles according to musical instruments that are playing. It might be okay if the controls worked better, but I don't really rate it. Rayman Raving Rabbids is great though, if you don't have that.
