Why does my Zune sound like Alvin and The Chipmunks?

I have put some songs onto my 80GB Zune and they play too fast and sound like Alvin and The Chipmunks. Is it to do with my bitrate or maybe my filetype? This happened before but appeared to fix itself after a while. However, since then i have removed all and added new content
