I have an ant problem at home. Have a clean house, where every garbage we have are individually wrapped in paper before going into the garbage can, garbage are moved outside the house everyday. Weird thing is I don't have ant problems in the kitchen and dining room (mess areas), but have ant infestation on areas not commonly infested by ants like the store rooms and the bathroom. My store room Consists of groceries, e.g canned foods, biscuits with plastic wrapping, instant noodles etc. So theoretically, these should be clean and do not have holes in them. Each time I replenish the stocks, I occasionally experience ants eating through the packaging and the contents inside. This always happens no matter how clean the area is. Bathroom I again experience ants eating the grout from the bathroom floor and wall tiles. I wonder what interests the ants from gnawing into the grout. Have tried pesticides does not work, as the queen ant is not killed or can not be found. For the pest control, my house is just treated for termites, the entire place is fumigated and have termite powder all over strategic locations to kill termites. Well, the termites are gone but the ants remain. Have tried Ant killing products that let the ant bring home the poison and have an affect after 7 days. Well, it works only for a short period of time, and the same problem happens 1 month after. Anybody now other methods of removing ants from you home? Natural and other methods are all acceptable to me. The Ant Killing solution is the syrupy substance that I let the ants take home to their queen. This works for about 2 weeks only. Then after a month the ants are back!
