What did you think of Alvin and the Chipmunks?

Do you consider the new movie to be more child-centered, or adult-centered?...and why? Thanks for your input :) Thanks for the answers so far. I am analyzing the movie for a course I am taking in college. I am watching it right now, and just wanted to get some opinions so thanks! :)

1. child centered. not much adult humor in it at all
2. Child centered, not alot of adult humor. The way they 'remastered' their old songs with modern day hip hop music was disappointing
3. I honestly think it is for both...we watched it with the kids and we were all laughing. It is a really cute movie for young and old.
4. Child centered; WAY TOO child centered! The comedy was childish; the plot was bland; and it just didn't have much of a creative spark. My kids loved it though...
