What to do if you don't like landlord pest control company?

I live in Columbus, Ohio and my complex sends over an Orkin man that is dumber than dog shit. He tells me something different every time he comes over. I have showed him the same bug three times but told him I have caught it in differentiates when really its the same bug I caught in the same area and he always says its a different bug and then when I question him about it he says it must have been someone else or I misunderstood what he said. The thing is every time I ask him I say is it bug A or bug B. He says bug B, when I show him again I say is it Bug B or Bug C. He says Bug C, and when I show him again, I ask is it Bug B or Bug C, he says its Bug D. How can the same bug be three different things, Also the specimens are all caught whole and intact. First off I have First off Kem Orkin is supposed to do mor ethan that at least they did when I used them for residential services when I owned my home. David I also have a family and this guy gets paid to keep the insects at bay for my family. Landlord the spray isn't working obvisouly if the problem still exists. B it's not to trick him its to see if he truly can fix the problem or is he just coming to pick up a pay check. All of you owuld do the same if you had this issue. As said he needs to asses the problem to know what to do to take car of it. Thats the reason why he gets paid. I never thought about it but that sounds like a excellent suggestion to request a supervisor or more experienced tech, the only issue is the Manager of the complex doesn't like me she thinks I'm a pre-madonna for wanting to get what I pay for so she wouldn't probally do it. I wonder if I call for myself?

  1. sorry you lost me. Why are you having a conversation with an exterminator? he comes in, sprays and goes. big whoop. if you wish to examine the origins and habitat of entomology, take a course in it.
  2. Hey cmon just relax. this guy has a family also. who cares what kind of bug it is. just spray it. just be patient. there is nothing you can do since you are not paying for service.
  3. It does not really matter, as long as the spray does them in. You are not paying him, you can't do anything about him.
  4. The type of infestation does affect which chemicals they use to clear it up. Since the bug problem seems to be persisting, you could talk to the office manager at your complex to have a more senior pest control specialist sent out for additional treatment. You can also ask the Orkin man to have the sample bug analyzed to ensure you are receiving the correct treatment. There is no use continually spraying when the problem isn't being resolved. Note: Unfortunately you can't call the pest control company yourself because the contract is in the management company's name. Many pest control company contracts include free re-visits to eliminate a problem so this may not actually cost your apartment complex more money. If you have a lot of these insects, it could be a health hazard so it's in the complex's best interest to have the problem resolved quickly. Start with a polite phone call to the manager and if the manager gives you a hard time, send a certified letter to the manager, and perhaps the manager's boss.
  5. Come on you mean to tell me your keeping this exact same bug held hostage and pulling it out and showing it to the exterminator just to trick him? Look your not paying a dime for the service so you need to be appreciative that the landlord is doing it for you, so to answer your question you either get over it or move, simple as that.
