Do I have to clear pest control services with my homeowners association for my town home?

I am new to owning a town home and actually have yet to even move in. I am arranging to move to FL from across the country and have not yet familiarized myself with the homeowners association. My soon to be home is overrun with bugs and unfortunately termites. Generally speaking, do I have to get a permit or a clearance from the homeowners association to get rid of these bugs? And are they going to make me use a specific company? I have already put a call into them but they take upwards of a week to return my calls and I would like to get some quotes soon. I know I have to get permission for a lot of things, just wondering if this is included since it may involve outdoor work, or even tenting.
