Fave chipmunk original: Alvin's Harmonica or ET & Me Fave chipmunk cover: Witch Doctor And for anyone that thinks Which doctor is an original chipmunk song, it's not. Ross Bagdasarian Sr. first sang it in 1958 as David Seville. He didn't create the chipmunks until a few months later, but yes he did use that squeakey voice to create the chipmunks. The original Witch Doctor song is NOT a chipmunk song. it is a Dave Seville song. (btw Dave and Ross are the same person XD) Oh, and the Chipmunk Song is called ...The Chipmunk Song. the Christmas song is the "chesnuts roasting on an open fire" one. A lot of people get that confused. lol
