when the guy Dave goes to the producers office and he plays a track who sings it. The chipmunks do NOT sing this song. iT sounds really acoustic

2. I think it is actually Dave himself because he composed the song and it sounds like him. So I'm pretty sure it's actually Dave who sings it.
