Alvin & the Chipmunks?

i was just curious why alvin is maybe 'more special' than the other two chipmunks? like why he gets the letter on his sweater and why the title is 'alvin' and the chipmunks just wondering [: thanks for all answers && if you can, please include the source

2. not sure. but he is definitely the funniest. i saw the movie and loved it. i like the other chipmunks just as much though.

4. Alvin is the alpha-male. He's aggressive, pushes himself to the front. If he didn't get the special treatment, he'll leave in a huff and go solo. He's a prima donna and not very gracious about it. Yeah, he gets on my nerves too.
