Beneficial Nematode Pest Control?
Has anyone had any luck with beneficial nematodes killing off fleas and garden pests? I was looking for ways to treat my yard against fleas, and this was listed as a natural option that is supposed to kill off other pests too. Sounds too good to be true? Anyone try it?

- Go visit a landscaper or place that sells landscaping plants, they will have an expert on hand to answer your question.
- Not with fleas per-say but many pests are abated with nematodes. They are mainly used for grubs and the other types of insects that have the life cycle of beetles. Yet the way the nematodes infect their host's digestive system they are said to be greatly effective against fleas. The research for the use of nematodes against fleas is relatively new as compared to it's use against other insects. The most important thing you must know is how to chose the correct species of nematode to combat whatever insect you want to abate. My advise to you would be that the nematodes are very inexpensive and it could not hurt to try them. You will need to do some research as to which species to buy and at what time of year they recommend the application. Here are some links to help. Good luck to you getting rid of those little blood suckers.
