  1. get an exterminator
  2. Did you try complaining to the person who is in charge? If he/she does nothing, Try calling in an exterminator.
  3. I have only had very limited success with the electronic pest control devices. Whenever I an confronted with a major cockroach problem I usually end up using a roach killer powder that contains Boric Acid. This pesticide is a white powder that can be sprayed into crevices and in other secluded spaces. It is highly toxic to pets so don't use it if you have them unless the powder can be placed where the pets can not have access to it. The roaches will walk through the powder and then when they clean themselves they ingest the poison. I have had a great deal of success with this type of roach eradication. This pesticide is available at most of your home improvement stores as well as hardware stores. Just make sure it contains Boric Acid. Hope this will work for you.
  4. Boric acid is the preferred way.... If you are really serious about not seeing them again, then go to the store and buy yourself a lot of caulking. Remove all items from your cabinets, move your fridge, your oven..etc, and seal up every corner and crack you can find. Open all your wall sockets, pour some of the Boric acid powder in there, and then close them up. be sure to caulk them as well. The only true way to stop them from entering, is to cut off all points of entry - because once you have them...you always will, unless you take the needed steps to stop the little bastards. Good luck!!!
  5. Wow, they didn't even tell you a single word about it? That's quite rude. Anyways, you should contact your landlord because they're supposed to be ultimately responsible for any problems that occur. If not, just get professional pest control products instead of wasting money on cheap hardware store products. This product kills within 15 minutes of application: http://www.pestmall.com/demand-cs.html. Hope your infestation will be gone asap!
  6. Your landlord is responsible for pest control. If you have them, it is a given that all the other flats are infested as well. You can't fight them on that level because all the apartments are connected through plumbing, wiring, etc. You can try to keep your own space unfriendly to roaches, but it won't matter much in the end if the problem is not fixed throughout the building.
