ive been having alot of spiders and insects in my backyard whats the best pest control product out there?

1. If you have pets and/or children, or want to remain healthy yourself, try purchasing some peppermint oil. Mixed with water in a spray bottle, the peppermint will chase spiders and bugs away. It is used in organic gardening as well and works! There is also the tea tree oil mixture with water and the garlic oil with water mix. All work very well. Spray whichever you choose around the edge of your home and through the yard. You may have to repeat this procedure about once a week.
2. Ok, this answer is a little different but hear me out..... ;-) Pet chickens! We got chickens two years ago, they are great pets and eat all our scraps (not to mention give us yummy eggs!) Anyways, one day I saw them going nuts eating bugs and spiders off the fence. And for going on 2 years now, I have not seen one spider in our house, and very rarely do I see an insect in the yard - my five hens take care of them all (they have even chased and killed mice). An all natural way to take care of pests, great recyclers, yummy eggs and great pets :-)
3. The backyard is outdoors, nature. No reason to spray pesticides and kill off the insects which in turn feed the spiders and birds. Kill the bugs and you kill off birds essentially. Spray around your house to keep the bugs out, but don't try and kill all of the bugs in the world by spraying your yard.
