Is pest control allowed in egypt or is considered as an offense?

My friend told me that she was arrested in egypt for using pest control, the police informed her that pest control product is considered highly dangerous in egypt and is a national threat by trying to make a public massacre for egyptians. 2. Umm I don't think so. I brought pest control with me on the airport in Cairo and nothing happened to me.
