How do I get chipmunks out of my attic?

There are like 6 of the lil stinkers in my attic. Sorry peta but live traps aren't an option. How do I get rid of the chipmunks?

1. try rat poison or the dcon makes stuff for rodents as well
2. no poison, they will get into the walls and stink you out. Have you tried a plain old snap mouse trap. They work good in my area. We use the big rat size for squirrel
3. ckipmynks in an attic??????? probably flying squirrels, nail screen wire over the openings that swing outwars but will not swing back inward far enough for them to re enter. after you,re sure they are gone nail screen wire on every opening
4. throw some chocolate covered meat up there and get a wolverine
5. Easy use mothballs they cant stand the smell and will leave, at the same time it takes all other oders and moths out, it worked for me!
6. you can actually use live traps for this, i had a squirrel problem in my attic a few years ago, and used live traps. But first you need to find out how they are getting in. once you have found that out, plug the hole, then set the traps inside the attic. the best thing to use is a mixture of peanut butter, bird seed, and nuts for bait. check often because even humane traps kill them because of their metabolism. an experienced exterminator should be able to locate the holes and either place the traps, or advice you where to place ones you purchase yourself. happy hunting
7. Call and exterminator and ask for their advice. They may charge you for the removal and advice on how to prevent it. But wouldn't it be better to rid yourself of the problem before it becomes a health issue?
8. Sell the house and move. When they move in they are hard to get rid of.
9. seal up your soffit and get a pellet gun and put a flashlight and a lazer on it and get up there and wage ww3 on them ...
