How do you feel about your pest control company?

I work in the pest control field and I want to know how people actually feel about our industry. Let me know about stereotypes and how you generally feel when they come to your house.

1. We have Allied Pest Control in Knoxville, TN. They come quarterly or more if I feel like I need them. We live in a heavily wooded area and when we first moved in we had bugs everywhere. After about 6 months, the problems were gone (carpenter ants, roaches, spiders) and we haven't had much problems since. I am very happy with them and I think they are very reasonable.
2. All the guys are pretty nice, but honestly, I think I can do better spraying Diazanon. I mean, I still have Black Widows in the back yard that make their nests on my privacy fence, still have those darned crickets, slugs, and other crawly things. They say they can only spray 10 feet out from the house, and they don't guarantee against spiders anyway. What about your company?
3. One of my pet peeves is that they write on the slip that they leave the time in and time out, but exaggerate the length of time they were actually here. They also indicate what they used by chemical checked and I only ever see them use the sprayer on the truck, not the granuals, which they always check off as having been applied. They are supposed to spray the eaves, they don't. We generally only have the outside sprayed and since we work from home, we can see what they do and don't do. Most of the time, they are here and gone with in 5-10 minutes. My other pet peeve is that they are supposed to secure the back gate and often leave it wide open. Once when I forgot to check it after they left, my dog got out on the loose in the neighborhood. Finally, they keep changing the day and the window of time they come because they say they are re-aligning their routes. When I first signed up for the service, they said I could choose the day and time frame, but that only lasted for about the first six months. I think they have to re-align their routes because their tunover is so high. But, on the good side, they are cheaper than any of their competition and have never increased their price, even after the original contract I had with them expired.
4. I have no complaints about my pest control company, they come here every two weeks and do the house, the exterior and the pool area, it's excellent..☺
5. I hate Orkin because of the ad that won't go away.
