How in the world would someone get in a college for pest control?

Why would anyone even want to become a pest control employee? It sounds stupid and there are easier, better paying, and cooler jobs. If you're in high school and someone would ask you, "So what is your dads job?" you would have to answer that he does best control which sounds boring and gay, then that would really suck.

  1. I have never been embarassed by what my dad did for a living. It didn't matter what it was. It put food on the table, it helped me to get an education, and it allowed me to live a pretty decent life with my siblings. Pest control is a job that needs to get done and someone needs to do it. (what's that PBS show -- Dirty Jobs?) Some people have an aptitude for it, and others might see it as a way to understand a part of the animal kingdom from a different perspective. That perspective might allow them the freedom to say maybe I should become a biologist or a teacher that talks about bugs. This way, if you want to get a college degree and still honor, or follow in your father's footsteps, do it because you want to learn something, not because you perceive it to be something less-than. The most honorable people do the most simplest of things.
