What is the most effective way to get rid of scorpions in the home?

I don't rely on any home pest control, i tried for a whole year with Orkin and I still find scorpions in my house. I am currently trying boric acid at all openings. Is there a better solution? I live in Ocala (north central Florida.)

4. My father was stung by a scorpion some years ago. He lives in Phx. AZ. He was temporally blind for several days, and could not move his left side of his body for about a week. For some it can be deadly. If there is a breeding places for the scorpions, get rid of them. Woodpiles, dead bushes, sandy areas,bricks and rocks. Even if you have a professional spray if they have bred they will return. I would stay with a professional but keeping a regular routine. There are sprays targeted just for scorpions you can purchase at pest control supply stores. If you chose to do it yourself.They are very toxic and you should follow the directions and be cautious.
