pest control?

does anyone know what the active ingredient is in the bait gel used by terminix. I'm trying to buy some baits but i don't want to put down the same kind as the terminix man. Or does it matter, is it more about changing the type of bait used or the type of insecticide used?

1. Do you have a pesticide barrier? Generally your state extension office will have plenty of information on termite control. In Arizona: http://cals.arizona.edu/urbanipm/insects/termites/subterraneantermites.html It was my impression that the best way to deal with termites was with the removal of dead wood from the area and maintaining a chemical barrier on the outside of your foundation. Your local extension branch should have more information than you ever wanted to know, though.
