odor free pest control products??

Anyone know where i can get them from? I also have kids so i want something that i wont be having nightmares about my kids touching or eating..i am having problems with ants right now but i need a whole pest kinda control ..one thing for all kinda thing..we ve decided we wana go DIY this time .. we cant keep paying them ppl $500 a year...any help would be appreciated ..thank you
