do you know a good product on the market to keep ants out of a house?

i live in southern Mississippi and i have the worst problem with ants coming in my house. What is the best way to eliminate this problem. No pest control answers.

use sugar and borax mixed together thy will take it back to the nest and feed it to the queen and that will kill them all
try the raid ant baits,I've used them before and they work very well, just place them in several places around where you see the ants. you can get them at wal-mart
There's this stuff that's sugar and borax, but in the right proportion not to kill them right away, and it's works like magic. It's called "Terro" or "Tarro". The like. It's in a electric orange package.
I have friends in Oregon who use lemon oil to mop all the floors and wipe down all counters (I don't know how much they dilute it though). Also, they float all the pet food dishes in a larger bowl of water to keep the ants from the pet food. They swear by the lemon oil and it's environmentally friendly as well as non-pesticidal.
