Is it legal for pest control agents to kill pigeons?

I work at a supermarket, and I often see the guys from pest control feeding the birds rat pellets on top of the roof. The birds often nest there, and make a mess. Is this legal, or is it animal abuse? Quite frankly, it disturbs me, and I hate to see it, but I don't want to make trouble for my company, because they might fire me.

2. Animal abuse. Thats just like going out, Buying a Puppy, And then feeding it kitchen Cleaner.
3. If they are a pest and he has a permit...Noooooooooooooo Problem. A pellet gun is more sporting. Dr Demento had a song named "Poisioning Pigeons in the Park" very funny.
4. You animal rights people amaze me. I know of two people that lived in the same building and one died from a sickness from pigeon droppings and one's life will never be the same because of the same sickness. Let pest control take care of it.
5. Not only is it legal, it is what they are being PAID to do. Just because YOU do not consider the pigeons to be pests, does not mean they are NOT.
