How do I get rid of cockroaches besides calling in the pest control company? Cheaply, now, kids....?

Can I freeze them out in the winter? Raise and release a special kind of gecko? Burn the house down.....ooops not that...? Any "natural" means out there? Hellllppppp!

2. You might just want to up and move... They are not easy to get rid off!!!
3. Natural, no, but get a can of crack and crevass roach spray and hit all the cracks in the area - thats where they live. === Note: If you move, you'll just take them with you.

5. borax, lost of roach poison is boric acid, you can get that and or get mule team borax in the laundry aisle and run a line of it around baseboards etc, aother thing i liked was sticky traps, i was able to get them at the dollar store, you peel off a wax paper and fold them into a triangular shape and put them by the baseboard, it catches them live and then they just die stuck to it
6. Don't store too much tasty food. Keep your kitchen and wash room clean. Put some medicine against cockroaches in the safe place. Don't eat food exposed in the air.
7. there's things called sprays and "roach motels" that can trap them/kill them. They are annoying to deal with, but cheaper than exterminators.
8. I use those little black roach bait things from wal-mart. I only have to replace them every 9 months or so and never see any roaches
9. Contact some pest control companies, Some use this paste stuff that comes in a tube, kills them dead in their tracks. Its called MAXFORCE.
10. use boric acid u can get it at home depo its a blue powder no smell but very harmful so if you have kids put it along the counter and were the carpet meets the wall it works i used to have them in this nasty apt. complex now they go to the other fukers

12. Boric Acid is a old style bug killer and the use of shredded citrus peels (dry peels and then blend up in chopper of your choice and spread granules along with boric acid dust). You can get boric acid at any dollar store or hardware store. I have great luck with the spray bombs in the past and they have "organic" sorts on the market now. If you share a structure with other tenants best of luck on getting rid of them.
13. ...I understand what u are going thru! I work in the apt industry. Buy some "boric acid' known as "Roach Powder". Harmless to humans unless you eat it. It is not airborne, the pests do not like it, they walk over it and take it back to the nest. Using latex gloves, cut the top of plastic nozzle, and gently SQUIRT the blue/white powder at your baseboards, under appliances, inside window tracks, under cabinets, where pipes enter the wall inside cabinets, in the garage at the bottom of the wall, inside you trash cans. It is about $ 10.00 dollars a bottle. One (1) bottle will treat about 1000 square feet. About the size of a regular 2 bedroom apt. Use the stuff anywhere, except inside drawers or not to come in contact with dishes or food. Also do not let pets eat it! Take apart the thresholds at the front and back doors and squirt some under the metal then reinstall threshold. Very professional.
14. diatomacious earth is the only known method. And it takes forever. call the exterminator before you get overrun and condemned
