How can i get rid of Squirrels and Chipmunks in and around my birdfeeders?

I am over run with squirrels and chipmunks in and aroound my yard and especially around my birdfeeders. Is there really any way that the I can rid my property of them?

1. Air Rifle. .22 is best.

3. i have tried lots of stuff. the best thing i ever diod to prevent this was to get a dog. A cool thing you can do is hanf your feeders from a pole (or shepherds hook) so that the squirrel cannot just jump from a fence or building onto the feeder...then take some grease and spread it on the pole. its fun to watch a squirrel think he's gonna pig out and start climbing up, gets to the grease and goes right back down.
4. Learn to enjoy them! They're actually quite cute. Try putting out food specifically for the squirrels and chipmunks -- corn and sunflower seeds this will help keep them out of the feeders. You can also use feeders that are non-squirrel friendly. There are some that have a collapsible perch that won't hold the weight of a squirrel, and others that will spin the squirrel off. Squirrel baffles will only "baffle" them for a short time.
